Bayern Munich agree loan deal with Holstein Keil for Franck Evina
Bayern Munich have agreed a loan deal with Holstein Keil for promising young forward Franck Evina.
There will be much transfer business done by Bayern Munich in the next two windows. The German club is working hard to bring in a couple of players in January, but they will also have to manage their squad by finding solutions for the players who are not in their plans right now.
Franck Evina is one of player who is not involved with Bayern’s first team right now, but he remains part of the club’s future plans. He signed his first professional contract at the club last season, and Bayern Munich has now agreed an 18-month loan deal with Holstein Kiel for the player.
The 18-year-old forward has already undergone his medical at the second division German club, where he will now be able to work with his former reserves coach, Tim Walter.

Speaking to Sport Bild, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic admitted that the club decided to greenlight the move as Evina requested the chance to get more playing time.
The club will keep a close eye on his progression at Holstein Kiel. Bayern are likely to have an option to recall him back if he impresses with his performances for the second division side.
Evina is primarily a left winger, but he can operate on either side of the attack. He can also slot in the number ten role behind the striker. The Cameroonian made his debut for Bayern last season under Jupp Heynckes, featuring in two games at the end of the season when the Bavarians had already clinched the Bundesliga title.
The pathway for young players at Bayern Munich has become quite tough in the past few seasons. Their overflow of stars in the first team means many young players struggle to get minutes even in cup competitions. Die Roten need to develop a proper pathway to facilitate these young players into the first team squad. They should have a tie-up with a good European or Bundesliga side to make easier loans for their younger players. There were reports about such a tie-up with PSV Eindhoven last season, but nothing has been heard about it since then.
Bayern are now poaching young talent from youth academies of other big European clubs. They are currently working hard to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea. These signings are crucial at the moment as Bayern will lose a few big name players in the summer. However, Die Roten also need to ensure they focus on developing their own corps of young talents.
