Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman is confident that he will be fit to feature for the French national team in the upcoming World Cup.
The Bavarians have endured another season where they have been without key players in important moments due to injuries. Bayern Munich were lacking creative ideas from the bench against Real Madrid when they were chasing their crucial third goal. Without both Arjen Robben and Kingsley Coman, they lacked a difference maker who could come from the sidelines late in the match.
Bayern Munich have only one target left to achieve this season after the disappointing end to their Champions League campaign. The Bavarians are in the finals of the DFB Pokal, where they will face Eintracht Frankfurt. Bayern recently received a big injury boost when Kingsley Coman claimed that he should be fit to feature in that game. While talking to SportBild, Coman recently confirmed that he will be completely fit for the World Cup.
"“I’m getting better. Maybe I can play against Stuttgart on the last [Bundesliga] matchday. I’m sure I can play at the cup final.“The World Cup will be no problem for me.”"

Coman suffered an ankle injury in February. The initial fears were that the Frenchman would be unlikely to play again this season and may miss the World Cup. However, Bayern are now hoping that he makes the squad for the DFB Pokal final in Berlin.
The 21-year-old winger has been quiet brilliant for Bayern Munich this season. Coman struggled under Carlo Ancelotti last season and started this season quite poorly. However, since the arrival of Jupp Heynckes he has found some much needed consistency. He kept Franck Ribery out of the starting lineup due to his consistently good performances. The German champions rewarded his good work by extending his contract in December.
Bayern sorely missed Coman in the Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid. The Frenchman’s ability to stretch the defense would have been handy, especially in the second leg of that tie. His return is good news for Bayern, but they still need to be careful with how they handle his comeback. A small setback could shatter his dream of making France’s squad for the World Cup.

Apart from Coman, Manuel Neuer is also in contention to feature in at least one game for Bayern Munich before the season ends. The German goalkeeper has been on the sidelines since September. Joachim Low and the German national team will be hoping that he gets some match rhythm before the World Cup. Jerome Boateng’s season is already over as well. The center-back is in a race against the clock to be fit for his nation’s World Cup campaign.
