Bayern Munich have been hit with a big wave of injuries throughout recent weeks. Here’s a look at who’s available for tomorrow’s match at Real Madrid.
It’s that time of year again. The time of year where seemingly every Bayern Munich player picks up some sort of injury that keeps them out of one of the most important matches of the season. Bayern will be without some key players for their visit to Madrid, but they also have some players who have just returned from injury. Here’s a look at who’s in and who’s out for the all-important second leg tie against Real Madrid.
Who’s in?
The most notable return to the squad for tomorrow’s match is David Alaba. The Austrian has been sidelined for the better part of the past few weeks but looks set to start in Madrid.
Meanwhile, Javi Martinez — who left last week’s match early with a small knock — has recovered and is rared for Tuesday’s game. James Rodriguez and Thomas Muller are also available tomorrow. They were spared from training and rested over the weekend, leaving some to doubt their fitness. The duo are ready to go, though, and will no doubt start tomorrow’s big game.

Who’s out?
Bayern’s injury list continues to grow. Long-term absentees Manuel Neuer and Kingsley Coman will remain absentees for tomorrow’s match. The pair could be really impactful in a match of this caliber, and it’s a real shame Bayern will go into this game without them.
Arturo Vidal, who picked up an injury in training a few weeks ago, is out for the rest of the season. Bayern will be without their Chilean warrior once again on Tuesday.
Last Wednesday, both Arjen Robben and Jerome Boateng were forced to make early exits from the first leg of this semi-final clash. Boateng is set to be out for at least a month, perhaps even longer. The extent of Robben’s injury is still unknown, but he definitely won’t be available for tomorrow’s match.
What about Real Madrid?
Fortunately, Bayern Munich aren’t the only club with players plagued by injury. Real Madrid will be missing a few stars of their own tomorrow.
Dani Carvajal picked up an injury against Bayern Munich last week and won’t feature tomorrow. His preferred back-up, Nacho Fernandez, is also doubtful for the game but could make an appearance.
Meanwhile, Spanish playmaker Isco is also doubtful for the game against Bayern. He’s fighting through a shoulder injury, and many reports suggest it will be enough to keep him out of the semi-final second leg. Isco is an incredibly dynamic player; his absence will be a real blow for los Blancos.
