Ahead of tomorrow’s match against Sevilla, Bayern Munich coach Jupp Heynckes reaffirmed the club’s stance that Robert Lewandowski won’t be sold this summer.

Bayern Munich goalscorer Robert Lewandowski is the best center-forward in the world. And when you’re the best center-forward in the world, you’re going to be the subject of much transfer speculation.

Lewandowski is no excpetion.

The rumor mill has been turning intensely with stories of a potential transfer from Bayern to Real Madrid for the Pole. These rumors were only further fueled when Lewandowski switched agents just over a month ago.

More from Bayern Strikes

Surely he did so with a big money move in mind?

Well, not necessarily. Such is Lewandowski’s professionalism that it’s hard to tell what the motivation behind the switch was. The player hasn’t commented on the matter at all. He has, however, maintained his impressive performances for Bayern Munich.

After a hat-trick against his former club, Borussia Dortmund, at the weekend, he’s the second-highest goalscorer in Europe. Whether or not he wants to leave Bayern Munich, he’s certainly still giving the club his absolute best.

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge recently claimed he’d be willing to bet that Lewandowski is “100% playing for Bayern Munich next season.” Bayern aren’t a selling club, after all, and apparently aren’t open to any offers from any club, no matter how substantial.

In his pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Sevilla clash, Jupp Heynckes reaffirmed this stance. In his eyes, a move to Real Madrid is completely off the table. Lewandowski will be in Bavaria again next season.

It’s rare for a club, especially Bayern Munich, to address transfer rumors so directly. When they do, however, it’s usually a sign that they take the matter seriously and have important thoughts to share.

For the club’s CEO and coach to both directly approach the topic (and it’s Twitter page to share the news for all the world to see) is a sign from Bayern Munich that they take this matter seriously.

All of Europe needs to know that Robert Lewandowski is not for sale. Not at any price.

The Bavarians are one win away from securing their sixth consecutive Bundesliga title, where Robert Lewandowski has yet another Torjagerkanone basically in the bag with an impressive 26 goals already. They are also in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Bayern should make easy work of opponents Sevilla to advance to the semi-finals again, after missing out last season.
