Bayern Munich gear up to face Augsburg for the second time in the week, as the two sides now face in Bundesliga.

The German Champions hosted Augsburg for DFB Pokal game on Wednesday. Bayern Munich eased to a 3-1 win on Wednesday and will be looking to continue the good run on Saturday. The Bavarian derby remains important for Bayern as they look to consolidate their position at the top of the league table.

have won three games in a row in all competions. Carlo Ancelloti’s men clinched an important win over Borussia Mönchengladbach last week in Bundesliga. They remain two points ahead second placed RB Leipzig.

On the other hand, Augsburg have been poor this term in Bundesliga. They are currently sitting on 12th place in Bundesliga. Augsburg have been without a win in their last four games in all competitions. The Bavarian team would be looking to get one over Bayern in the derby.

Bayern Munich were boosted with the return of Holger Badstuber on Wednesday. The German defender came on as a half time substitute against Augsburg, returning from a lengthy layoff from injury. Ancelloti confimed that he has a full squad to choose expect Franck Ribery and Rafinha.

The French winger has been training individually to get back to fitness after being out for more than a week. Rafinha suffered an injury against Gladbach last Sunday. The Italian manager is likely to recall all senior players after resting them for the midweek clash.
