With recent negative feedback from the transfer markets, Bayern Munich is struggling to build squad depth for the upcoming season. It seems that the club may have to look internally for rotational solutions, such as giving academy talents a chance in the first-team setting. This solution has paid off in the past, providing Bayern with long-term starters and even legends, such as David Alaba and Thomas Müller.

Currently, Bayern's academy boasts some of the most intriguing youngsters in football, like Jonah Kusi-Asare, Lennart Karl, and Adam Aznou. Fittingly, the aforementioned players can also fill in the positions of need for Vincent Kompany. A match made in heaven, right? Yet it feels like Kompany is not viewing these academy products as the potential solution. To make matters worse, some of these players are on the way out of the club, a major blow to the future. Most recently, Australian blue-chip talent Nestory Irankunda has completed his permanent move to Watford for around €4 million. Left-back Adam Aznou has also spoken out about his lack of playing time and may be seeking a transfer to fulfill his potential.

Is Bayern Munich squandering its talent pipeline and harming long-term squad depth?
