Who have been Bayern Munich's five best players this season?
By Tom Vinall
1) Joshua Kimmich
In truth, there are arguments for all of the previous four players to be in any type of order – but this one feels the most clear cut. Kimmich has been on another level this season, since being moved back into midfield under Kompany. The 29-year old's level has been simply world class, and a big reason why Bayern consistently pin teams in, including Bayer Leverkusen.
There are players that can create good chances whilst not having great ball retention. There are players with great ball retention whilst not being able to create good chances. Kimmich is one of very few who can do both. He has a strong case for being the best midfielder in the world this season.
Honourable mentions go to - Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, Dayot Upamecano, and Kim Min-jae.
