Poor finishing ultimately cost Bayern

Whilst Feyenoord had cracked the code on how to catch the visitors on the break, Bayern, despite at times, looking sluggish and unimaginative in attack still enjoyed 80% possession and managed eight shots on target compared to only three from the home team.

Even though Feyenoord’s goalkeeper-Justin Bijlow was in terrific form and achieved his first clean sheet of the season with a couple brilliant saves from close range, Bayern’s finishing was lacking particularly from Harry Kane and second-half substitute - Leroy Sané who headed the ball onto the post from just six yards out with half of the goal to aim for before the hosts made it 3-0.
