Persistent problems against counter-attacking teams

In Bayern’s toughest challenge of the season to date, it was clear as day that the team will continue to struggle against teams that play well on the counter-attack unless major changes are implemented by Vincent Kompany.

Raphinha scored a hattrick on the break and for each goal he was picked out with a pass from a different player. Vincent Kompany and Hansi Flick stuck to their guns as far as strategy was concerned, but those guns backfired on the Belgian coach. Unless a plan B is considered, Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-jae will continue to come under the spotlight for the wrong reasons.
