A Champions League win at Allianz Arena at the end of the season

After last season's disappointment, when Bayern finished third in the Bundesliga behind VfB Stuttgart and champions Bayer Leverkusen, fans are unlikely to take domestic success for granted. However, they will not be content with just a league title this season.

Despite winning the Champions League in 2020, Bayern have struggled to reach a final in the last four campaigns. They have found a way to elimination during knockout stages over the last four years. Die Roten came closest to another final last season, but Real Madrid scored late in the second leg to dump them out of the competition.

The ongoing Champions League campaign is even more special for Bayern fans since the final will be hosted by Allianz Arena. Bayern have a chance to lift the trophy on their turf. Chelsea took away this opportunity in 2011/12, but Die Roten bounced back next season to win the treble. The Bavarian faithful would like to see the team bounce back from defeat in Madrid in the same manner.

Bayern have suffered two defeats away from home in the Champions League (Aston Villa and Barcelona), but performances have been impressive. The knockout rounds will be an altogether different challenge for Kompany.

The Bavarian faithful will hope Santa gives the strength and will to Kompany and his squad to achieve the goal of lifting the Champions League title at Allianz Arena.
