Bayern Munich have been successful with negotiations for contract renewals of top players in the last 12 months. Leroy Sane is the only player who didn’t reach an agreement with Bayern for a new deal. He left Munich to join Galatasaray on a free transfer at the end of the last season.

The record Bundesliga champions still have work to do on a couple of contract renewals in the next few months. The biggest and most urgent contract renewal for Bayern is that of Harry Kane. The English forward has 15 months left on his current deal.

Kane had a release clause in his contract, but he has decided against taking it up since he feels content with life in Munich. Bayern have initiated the talks with Kane about a new long-term deal, but there is significant work to do to reach a positive conclusion to the negotiations.

There is nothing but praise for Kane at Bayern throughout his three seasons. Uli Hoeness has been impressed with the way Kane carries himself on and off the pitch. While talking to Kicker, Hoeness admitted that there is a good chance for Kane to sign a new contract at Bayern.

"Kane didn't exercise his release clause, which means he's definitely under contract here until summer 2027. What I'm hearing and feeling is that he and his family feel extremely comfortable here. You never know when a Saudi comes along and puts a lot of money on the table. But he feels very much at home."

Hoeness also backed Kane to play at the top level for the next three to four years. The former Bayern president believes the English striker takes care of his body and has good fitness to stay at the top level for a long time.

Kane has ideal conditions to enjoy success at Bayern

On a personal front, Kane is playing the best football of his career. At Bayern, he gets a chance to play with the world-class players every week. He has scored 48 goals across all competitions this season.

Kane is also eyeing Robert Lewandowski’s record of most goals scored in one Bundesliga season. The English forward needs 11 goals in seven games to beat Lewandowski’s record of 41 goals. Having quality forwards like Luis Diaz and Michael Olise, along with brilliant midfielders, has ensured Kane gets the necessary creativity to score consistently.

From a silverware point of view, Bayern are competing on all fronts. Kane had to wait for a long time to win the first trophy of his career when Die Roten lifted the Bundesliga title last season. At this point, Bayern have a squad and a great coach in Vincent Kompany to compete for silverware consistently over the next few seasons.

Since Kane has a great chance of enjoying personal and collective success at Bayern, it is a no-brainer for him to sign a new deal.
