Leon Goretzka vs João Neves

Bayern Munich will be without two key midfielders for the game against PSG as João Palhinha and Aleksandar Pavlović are on the sidelines due to injury. Leon Goretzka has started the last two league games for Bayern. The German international is expected to start against PSG tomorrow.

Goretzka will be tasked with keeping João Neves quiet on Tuesday. The Portuguese midfielder has seamlessly adapted to the Ligue 1 since his big-money move from Benfica in the summer. Neves is an all-action midfielder who provides PSG dynamism in the center of the park.

The 20-year-old midfielder is secure on the ball, completing an impressive 91.3% of his passes in Ligue 1. Along with setting the tempo for the team in midfield, Neves also heavily contributes in the final third. The former Benfica midfielder has scored twice and assisted six goals for PSG this season.

Goretzka looked slightly rusty against St. Pauli before the international break, which is understandable since it was his first start of the season. He looked more comfortable in an out-of-possession against Augsburg on Friday. The German midfielder will have to win duels against Neves and show efficiency in passing to help Bayern dominate the game against PSG. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
