Ruthlessness and increased hunger in the final third

Kompany has managed to get the best out of forwards at Bayern in the first two months of the season. Harry Kane is the top scorer for Bayern in this campaign, but almost every forward in the squad has been in fine form, chipping in with crucial contributions in the final third.

Die Roten are not devoid of chances every game. The patterns of play in the final third under Kompany have made Bayern a team to watch this season. FC Barcelona are the only team to have a more prolific front three than Die Roten this campaign. They are also the top scorers in the Bundesliga by a considerable margin.

Die Roten often struggled to create chances in games last season, but that has not been the issue for them. The Belgian coach would like his team to improve the rate at which they convert these chances. They failed to do so against Bayer Leverkusen, Aston Villa, and Eintracht Frankfurt before the international break, which eventually came back to bite them.

Kompany has also managed to get the best out of Serge Gnabry. The German winger had a difficult last season. Kingsley Coman has looked good under him, while Michale Olise has hit the ground running for Bayern. Thomas Muller makes an impact from the bench, while Jamal Musiala and Harry Kane are conductors of the team in the attack. Matthys Tel and Leroy Sane are yet to fire this season, but considering how Kompany has managed other forwards, they will soon get back to their best. Kompany has managed to improve the team collectively in the attack and also got the best out of individual players.
