The X Factor after minute 60

With Kingsley Coman back in the squad and Serge Gnabry finding form at the most crucial moment, the question of who to start on the left wing arises. In our opinion, Leroy Sane should still be the starter. His silky movement and long-range shooting can prove to be beneficial in a game when the oppositions try to play down the tempo. The German winger can help wear out the stamina of Inter's defense.

Inter Milan do not generally perform well in the late stage of the second half. There are often lapses in the player's focus after a couple of substitutions. This is the perfect period to speed up for Bayern. Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman are both comfortable with their dribbling and have great speed. They can be the X factors coming on in the second half to try to exploit the tiring Inter defenders.

The Champions League quarterfinals take their toll on not only the physical but also the mental capacity of players. Knowing when to stay slow and when to be fast can play a tremendous part in determining the end results. Despite being down a goal, Bayern can look to start a little bit slower and less risky and try to use Muller's great spatial awareness to find the weak spots in Inter's defensive structure. Then from the hour mark onwards, they can look to push the pace and go all in for the goal.
