Bayern Munich inch closer to the Bundesliga title, but they missed the opportunity to widen the gap at the top of the points table on Saturday. The Bavarian club dropped two points against Borussia Dortmund after Bayer Leverkusen were held for a goalless draw by Union Berlin earlier in the day.

Courtesy of both results, Bayern remain six points clear at the top of the Bundesliga table with five games to go.

Bayern created several chances against Dortmund but couldn’t finish them to get a convincing win. To make matters worse, they also made mistakes at the back, which allowed Dortmund to get a point at the Allianz Arena. Before we move on to the clash against Inter Milan, let’s look at key takeaways from the 2-2 draw against Borussia Dortmund.

Vincent Kompany has good selection headache in the attack

Kompany needs Bayern to be at their best in the final third on Wednesday against Inter Milan. Michael Olise is a certain starter on one flank, as he has been the standout winger for Die Roten this season.

On the other flank, Kompany is spoilt for choices. Leroy Sane has been in good form lately, so he is the front-runner for the left-wing spot. However, Serge Gnabry delivered a very promising cameo against Dortmund on Saturday. When he is in full flow, Gnabry is very devastating in the final third. Considering his cameo against Dortmund, it will be tempting for Kompany to start Gnabry on the left flank.

Finally, there is also the option of giving Kingsley Coman a start on Wednesday. The French forward returned to the squad on Saturday after recovering from a minor injury. Coman has often stepped up for Die Roten in big games.

Kompany has a big decision to make on Wednesday.
