Harry Kane arrests mini slump in the best possible way

Harry Kane has been a goal machine for Bayern Munich this season, but he found himself in a mini-slump before the international break. He didn’t score or assist for Bayern during their winless run of three games. Kane also failed to find the back of the net for England during their game against Finland.

There was nothing alarming about Kane’s form. Considering the incredible standards he has set over the years; a small lean patch immediately raises eyebrows. It felt that Saturday would be the fourth goalless game in a row for Kane as things were not happening for him in the final third during the first half against VfB Stuttgart.

However, Kane’s perseverance came to fruition in the second half. He showed great skill and power to open the scoring for Bayern from outside the box in the 57th minute. The floodgates opened for Kane as soon as he scored the first. Three minutes later, Kane showed great composure to bury the ball into the net from close range despite having so many Stuttgart defenders around him.

The English striker rounded off a great second half with a poacher’s goal to get the match ball. Kane had ten shots in the game and also created one chance for the team. Bayern and Vincent Kompany will be pleased to see Kane getting out of the mini-scoring rut in the best possible manner. Kane’s return to goalscoring form couldn’t have come at a better time as Bayern travel to Spain for a Champions League game against FC Barcelona on Wednesday.
