Vincent Kompany's biggest question: How to tame PSG wingers?

There is no way any team can completely shut down PSG's dynamic attack. But mitigating their impact can bring the slimmest edge to create Bayern's triumph in the second leg.

Josip Stanisic did not have a great game. He was terrorised by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia throughout the game. But things started to change when Dayot Upamecano was put on the Georgian. The Frenchman had an insane game defensively despite Bayern conceding five goals. He kept up with Kvara every step of the way, and he might continue to play this role in the second leg.

On the opposite side, Alphonso Davies played a decent first half, except for the controversial penalty call. His pace was essential to shut down Desire Doue in the first half. Doue's first assist came when he floated to Stanisic's side.

Konrad Laimer also put in a very good shift offensively and defensively. He should be the ultimate fullback option for the next game, especially on the right side, as he is a better enabler for Michael Olise to showcase his skill.

Kompany should use Laimer and Davies in the second leg. They offer more offensively and defensively for Bayern against PSG than Stanisic, who is best used in a less direct game.
