DM: João Palhinha- With Aleksandar Pavlović out for at least three months, Palhinha is expected to start regularly in the midfield. The Portuguese international delivered a tidy performance against Stuttgart. His tackling and tenacity will be needed against an in-form Barcelona side. Palhinha will have to shield the back four in the best possible way for Bayern to get a positive result against the Spanish club.

CM: Joshua Kimmich- The onus of dictating the tempo of the game for Bayern will be on Kimmich. The German international has been the volume passer for Die Roten this season. Along with providing security and calmness on the ball, Kimmich must show his defensive prowess to keep Barcelona quiet in midfield and attack.

AM: Thomas Muller- Jamal Musiala trained with the first team this week, but Vincent Kompany will unlikely use him from kick-off. Thomas Muller will continue in the number ten position for Bayern. Muller has delivered several big performances against Barcelona in the past. He has looked sharp this season. The Bavarian faithful will hope he continues to trouble Barcelona.
