A disciple of Pep Guardiola

Vincent Kompany played under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. He brings a similar approach to that of the Spaniard. It wouldn’t be unreasonable to believe that the former Manchester City captain may know a thing or two about cracking the code of clubs like Manchester City and even Real Madrid.

Mikel Arteta is a fine example of how Guardiola’s disciple has flourished at Arsenal. Chelsea have also hired Enzo Maresca, Guardiola’s former assistant coach, on a long-term deal after his successful tenure at Leicester City.

If Kompany amalgamates the experience under Guardiola and his football philosophy, Bayern may gain stability in the coaching position after several years. The Bavarian club needs to back him to the hilt and give him the platform to succeed.
