Vincent Kompany could bring two more English Man City superstars to Bayern Munich
By Kian Long
Bayern Munich are close to agreeing a new deal for Vincent Kompany. While nothing has been announced, it is likely that the Belgian Man City legend and current Burnley boss will be the new head coach of Die Roten for the 2023/24 season.
Bringing a fresh young manager, who already boasts great experience as a player, could be a turning point for Bayern Munich. After all, they are competing with Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga, who have their own fresh young manager taking the reigns there. But what could Vincent Kompany's appointment mean for the Bayern Munich transfer strategy?
Well, Vincent Kompany has an excellent knowledge of the English Premier League and one club in particular. The Belgian centre back who was known for his colossal brick-wall nature as a player is widely regarded as a Man City legend and perhaps their greatest defender of all-time.

Kompany could be scheming a sprinkle of Man City magic at Bayern Munich, by adding two of their English gems. According to Football Insider, Bayern Munich are currently keeping tabs on John Stones and as per The Sun, Jack Grealish has also emerged as a Bayern transfer target ahead of the summer transfer window.
It remains to be seen how concrete Bayern Munich's interest in these two Man City stars is. However, when Kompany is unveiled as the new manager, I am sure he will not be opposed to the deals. After all, as a Man City advocate, Kompany knows better than most what Grealish and Stones could provide to Die Roten.
Bayern Munich already have two impeccable English players in the core of their team, Harry Kane in attack and Eric Dier at the back. Kane's quality needed no proving but Dier has been particularly impressive in 2024, especially in the Champions League, where he has slotted in as a mainstay at the back.
John Stones, like Dier, is a versatile defender who has also played as a midfielder. Under Pep Guardiola, Stones has learned to be exceptional with the ball at his feet, which would make him a tactical signing from Bayern Munich's perspective.
Jack Grealish has fallen slightly out of favour at Man City this season, but nobody denies his qualities. As an excellent dribbler and a great passer of the ball, Grealish could combine well with his countryman Harry Kane.
Do you thin Bayern Munich should sign Jack Grealish and John Stones?
