Michael Olise's Olympic journey continues as he and his French side made it six points from six with a 1-0 victory over Guinea in Nice on Saturday evening.

Les Blues needed a 75th minute goal from right-back Kiliann Sildillia to get past their visitors in a tight contest. Thierry Henry once again had Olise to thank for helping France get over the line, as it was the Bayern Munich man who assisted the aforementioned winning goal.

Receiving the ball on the right touchline after a throw-in, Olise put in a trademark inswinging cross, perfectly weighted to Sidillia ten yards out, and the Freiburg defender scored with a bullet header into the bottom corner.

Olise created 6 chances, including the goal, had 5 accurate crosses, 3 successful dribbles and won 8 duels (SofaScore). It was not his best performance, but he still put in a superb creative performance to help France all but qualify for the quarterfinals that will be commencing early next month.

Henry and France once again lined up with Olise in the number 10 role, behind Jean-Philippe Mateta and Alexandre Lacazette in a diamond set up. Olise's impressive performances whilst in the number 10 role may give new Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany some food for thought ahead of next season.

The France trainer was the assistant manager of Belgium when Kompany was still an active player, so there is the possibility that the two could be in contact regarding Olise.

Bayern fans will be very excited about the Frenchman's performances so far, but will be hoping their new star signing gets through all of these games with a clean bill of health and does not pick up any injuries.

It was representing France at the U21 Euros, last summer where Olise picked up a serious hamstring injury that kept him out of action for several months, and fans will hope that nothing similar happens this time round.

Hosts France will go up against New Zealand on Tuesday evening, with qualification to the next round of the Olympics secured barring a miraculous 3-0 defeat to their visitors, coupled with a USA win over bottom of the group Guinea.
