Top performers for Bayern Munich on matchday three as they clinch a big win away at Holstein Kiel to go top of the Bundesliga.
Following the recent international break, Bayern Munich resumed their Bundesliga campaign on Saturday with a visit to the newly promoted Holstein Kiel.
The gulf in pedigree between the Rekordmeister and the Bundesliga newcomers was evident from the kick-off. By halftime, the game was over as a contest as Bayern went into the break with a 4-0 lead. In the second half a bit of complacency stepped in for Die Roten, allowing the hosts a sight of the goal here and there, eventually leading to a consolation goal.
Notwithstanding the occasional defensive lapse in the second half, all of Bayern’s players gave commendable performances. However, the following four players deserve special commendation.
