Joshua Kimmich

Joshua Kimmich delivered another dominant performance on Saturday as he bossed the midfield. With an impressive 153 touches in the game, the German captain was involved throughout the game in both defense and attack. Kimmich won 60% of his ground duels; completed two interceptions and also made two clearances. From four attempted long balls, he found his target three times.

The only thing missing from Kimmich’s performance, to round off a fine evening, was a goal. Late in the second half he almost scored one, but unfortunately his long-range effort cannoned off the crossbar. The 29-year-old midfielder would need to be just as dominant when the Rekordmeister hosts the defending champions-Leverkusen in the next game.
