Harry Kane
Harry Kane may have had just 31 touches over 90-plus minutes, but he certainly made the most of them. Despite being closely marked by Wolfsburg, the England Captain almost opened the scoring in the 11th minute but the goalkeeper denied him at the expense of a corner.
Kane may not have scored on the evening but he had a hand in all three of Bayern’s goals. For the first goal, he released Sacha Boey down the right flank who then laid it on a platter for Musiala to open the scoring.
Bayern’s second was a result of a Kane header which was deflected in by a Wolfsburg defender for an own goal. For Bayern’s third goal, Kane showed great strength and poise to turn his marker before setting up Gnabry on the right flank. Last season’s top scorer and European Golden Shoe winner showed just how capable he is of influencing the outcome of a match even when he doesn’t score. (All stats courtesy: Sofascore).
