Raphael Guerreiro

Raphael Guerreiro didn’t disappoint Tuchel when he was handed a place in the starting lineup in the absence of several key players. Asked to play on the left side of the attack, like all of Bayern’s attacking players on the evening, Guerreiro was a constant threat in the final third while being secure in possession.

The Portuguese international could consider himself unlucky not to have scored just before the half-time interval. A close-range shot from Guerreiro was parried onto the upright by the goalkeeper. Guerreiro was accurate with 91% of his attempted passes (50/55). Like Muller, the Portuguese defender was on point with crosses and long balls. It remains to be seen whether or not Thomas Tuchel will include him in the starting XI on Tuesday against Real Madrid.
