On matchday 31 of the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich clinched a relatively comfortable 2-1 win at the Allianz Arena against sixth-placed Eintracht Frankfurt. It was an ideal dress rehearsal for next week’s first leg of the Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid in Munich. The victory against Frankfurt also sealed Bayern’s place in the next season’s Champions League.
Bayern were first out of the gates and early on looked like running away with the match when following an impressive run from Konrad Laimer, Harry Kane tapped in from just a few metres out to open the scoring.
Even though Bayern needed a second-half penalty from Harry Kane to secure the victory, the final scoreline flattered the visitors. Die Roten could have buried the opposition had they been more clinical in front of the goal.
