Michael Olise

Michael Olise has enjoyed a lot of success on the pitch in the last 12 months despite a few injuries at Crystal Palace. He has improved as a goal-scorer and gone up a level in terms of creating chances in the final third, which helped him to seal a move to Bayern Munich.

Olise delivered the goods on his Champions League debut on Tuesday to further confirm that he is destined to be one of the best players in Europe. The French winger showed great awareness in the box to score two goals. While the goals deserve plaudits, the French winger’s overall wing play was impressive for Die Roten against Dinamo Zagreb.

The 22-year-old winger was efficient with the ball, helping Bayern to retain the ball in the final third. He completed 92% of his passes for Bayern. Olise also worked well defensively on the right flank, winning all his tackles and making seven recoveries in the game.

Olise still has a lot to improve, but the early signs in Bavarian colours are impressive. Bayern will hope his productivity in the final third keeps getting better and finishes with more than 20 goals and assists this season. (All Stats courtesy: FotMob)
