Marco Rose (RB Leipzig)

In Ralf Rangnick, Bayern were getting a head coach familiar with the Red Bull setup. The Bavarian club currently has two former Red Bull employees- Christoph Freund and Max Eberl as their top decision-makers. It would be fair to say that someone like Marco Rose will seamlessly fit into this structure at Bayern.

Rose is currently the head coach of RB Leipzig. After a disappointing stint at Borussia Dortmund, Rose has enjoyed success in the last couple of seasons. He has helped RB Leipzig win the DFB Pokal last season. RB Leipzig started the new campaign with a commanding win against Bayern at Allianz Arena to lift the DFL Supercup.

Leipzig play attractive football under Rose. They are on track to finish the Bundesliga campaign in the fourth position. The German coach also has a good record of improving players and getting the best out of young players. He ticks several boxes regarding the head coach role for Bayern.

Bayern and RB Leipzig have negotiated several moves over the last few years. They were annoyed with the way Eberl forced a move to Bayern. The negotiations will not be straightforward for Rose. If Bayern finds an agreement with Rose, a deal can be eventually agreed with RB Leipzig.
