Jude Bellingham vs Konrad Laimer

Jude Bellingham has been a phenomenal signing for Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti has used the English midfielder as number ten or false nine. Bellingham has repaid the Italian coach’s faith by scoring 22 goals across all competitions. He has also chipped in with eight assists this season.

Bellingham played in the number ten position at Allianz Arena last week. The English midfielder was not at his best due to illness and Bayern stifling him in the midfield. Bellingham didn’t get enough time on the ball against Die Roten in the first leg. The Bavarian club will have to keep Bellingham quiet on Wednesday to get the victory.

Konrad Laimer will have to do the bulk of the work to stop Bellingham at Santiago Bernabéu. The Austrian midfielder has been in fine form for Bayern over the last few weeks. His relentless pressing has given Die Roten more intensity out of possession. He did a fine job on Martin Odegaard when Bayern faced Arsenal in the previous round. The Bavarian faithful will want Laimer to extend his excellent run of form and neutralize Real Madrid’s biggest threat in the midfield.
