Bayern Munich and Arsenal are set to lock horns in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, and these key battles could well end up deciding what appears to be a finely poised tie.

The Bavarians have had the measure of Arsenal in recent meetings between the two sides. But Mikel Arteta has led a stunning resurgence at the Emirates Stadium. That, combined with Bayern Munich's recent woes, should make this a fascinating tie between two teams with plenty of quality. Here we take a look at three key battles that could play a crucial role in the Champions League quarterfinal between Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

Harry Kane vs William Saliba

Harry Kane will be hungry to make an impact on his return to London, especially with the Champions League being Bayern Munich's only realistic hope of silverware for this season.

The England captain has found the back of the net on 38 occasions this season, and will be eager to add to that tally against his former club Tottenham Hotspur's arch-rivals Arsenal.

Kane has an excellent record against Arsenal, with 14 goals and three assists to his name in 19 appearances against them. But with William Saliba in excellent form, Kane will have his task cut out.

The Arsenal centre-back put in a commanding performance against Manchester City recently, and will now look to emulate that against Bayern in order to keep Harry Kane at bay.
