After the disappointing 2023/24 campaign in which Bayern Munich surrendered the Bundesliga title to Bayer Leverkusen and failed to win any trophies, changes were expected at the club this summer. The club hierarchy wanted to shake things up at the club to bring the hunger for success back into the squad.

Bayern appointed Vincent Kompany as the successor of Thomas Tuchel. The Bavarian club has signed three quality players to strengthen defense, midfield, and attack. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui left the club to make space for the new signings. Die Roten could make a few more changes to the squad before the end of the transfer window.

New coach Vincent Kompany has enjoyed a good start in his first competitive game in charge with a comfortable 4-0 win against second-tier side SSV Ulm in the first round of DFB Pokal last Friday. Kompany’s team will need to build on that result to be able to challenge for trophies in all competitions. The Belgian coach will look to start the Bundesliga with a statement performance and result against Wolfsburg on Sunday. Ahead of the start of the new league campaign, here are our three predictions for the 2024/25 season.
