Harry Kane
Having scored the winning goal in England’s thrilling round of 16 clash against Slovakia, Harry Kane will be hungry to showcase his quality by spearheading his team’s charge against Switzerland.
The England captain will be battling against the disciplined Swiss defense that features the likes of Manuel Akanji, Ricardo Rodriguez, and Fabian Schär. The trio nullified the Italy attack in the round of 16, and will now look to keep the likes of Kane and Jude Bellingham at bay.
But the Bayern Munich striker will be full of confidence following his goal against Slovakia, and will now have his sights set on leading England’s hunt for their first-ever European Championship title.
A goal against Switzerland and Kane will also be well and truly in the hunt for the Golden Boot award. Only Jamal Musiala and Cody Gakpo (3) have more goals than Kane (2) heading into the quarterfinals (of the players still involved at the tournament).
