Thomas Müller pleased with his performances for Bayern Munich this season
Bayern Munich have been scoring goals for fun this season. They are the leading goal-scorers in the Bundesliga, with 16 goals in four games. Bayern have scored 11 goals in their past two league games, highlighting their sublime start to the season.
Along with scoring freely in the league, Bayern have also enjoyed good returns in front of the goal during their two cup games. They smashed four goals past SSV Ulm in the first round of the DFB Pokal in mid-August. Bayern enjoyed a historic start to the Champions League as they became the first team to score nine goals in a single game, defeating Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 at Allianz Arena.
Harry Kane has done the bulk of the scoring this season, with ten goals in six appearances. However, Vincent Kompany has managed to get all forwards firing this campaign. Thomas Müller has also enjoyed a good start to the campaign, albeit his role has largely been coming off the bench in the second half during most games.
Müller has scored five goals for Bayern this season despite getting only 250 minutes of game time. The German forward has looked lively on the pitch whenever Vincent Kompany has wanted him to make an impact. While talking to the Bundesliga.com, Müller reflected positively on his start to the new season.
"Generally good. Personally, I'm in a good mood and, although I haven't picked up too many minutes so far, I've still been involved in every game. I have tried to use the time I get as well as possible, both for my team and for myself. As an attacking player, you want that feeling of scoring or assisting a goal and just making the most of every second."

The experienced German forward also enjoyed a big milestone this season, achieving the feat of making the most appearances for Bayern Munich. Müller made a record-breaking 710th appearance against Freiburg on matchday two of the Bundesliga. He also became the player with the most appearances for one club (152) in the Champions League.
Müller has big role to play for Bayern this season
Considering the quality of options Bayern have in the attack, Müller may not start many games this season. However, he still has a big role to play for Die Roten this campaign if they want to win silverware.
Müller is the man for big occasions. His experience will be handy for Kompany during big games and rough patches of the season. Müller also plays a big role off the pitch since he is the leader in the dressing room. As the season progresses, the German forward will end up playing an adequate number of minutes.
This could well be the last season for Müller at Bayern. The 35-year-old has previously admitted that he wants to play at the top level until 2025. He has retired from international football, giving full attention to the club football. His contract at Die Roten expires at the end of the season, but Bayern are calm about his future. The Bavarian club will hold talks with Müller later this season. The German forward is eager to bring silverware back to Allianz Arena after enduring first trophyless last season in a decade.
