Takeaways from matchday three as Bayern Munich rout Holstein Kiel
Harry Kane set for another 40+ goals season
Harry Kane made his 100th appearance for England last week. He marked a significant milestone for his country with a brace against Finland. The English striker rounded off an incredible week by delivering a complete performance against Holstein Kiel on Saturday.
Kane set up the opening goal for Die Roten with a smart header to guide the ball in Jamal Musiala’s path. The England international showed his finishing prowess in the box by scoring two goals before the half-time whistle. The 31-year-old rounded off a fine evening by completing the hat-trick with the help of a penalty late in the game.
After enjoying a prolific debut year at Bayern, Kane has continued where he left off last season. Kane already has four goals and two assists in three Bundesliga games. With more games under his belt, the English striker will get better since he didn’t have the pre-season to build optimum rhythm.
Kane is on track to score more than 40 goals for Bayern this season, provided he doesn’t miss games due to injury. He will get more help in the final third this season since Die Roten will create more chances after signing Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. Kane will hope that his goals will translate into silverware for Die Roten this season.
