Early signs of dominant style of play under Kompany

Vincent Kompany wants to implement an expansive style of football at Bayern. The Belgian coach wants his team to play on the front foot and dominate the opposition in and out of possession.

The first half certainly showed how Kompany wants Bayern to play under him. The visitors kept the ball and consistently created chances. Wolfsburg got no respite when they had the ball. The home side had one shot in the first half, while they had to defend for their lives to keep the score 1-0 going into the break.

Unfortunately, the start of the second half completely undone the good work of the first half. However, the Belgian coach will be pleased with the way the team responded to the difficult situation they were put into by the hosts.

The win will be pleasing for the traveling Bayern fans. The Bavarian faithful are in for a good season if the performance in the first half against Wolfsburg is going to be the norm under Vincent Kompany.
