Bayern Munich have done the easier part of the summer transfers until now. They have signed their top three targets in defense, midfield, and attack. Bayern are interested in making more additions to the squad, but they need departures to fund the remaining incoming deals. It is going to be a big challenge to part ways with senior players who want to stay in Munich.

Serge Gnabry is one of the players Bayern are open to selling this summer. According to Sky Sports in Germany, Newcastle United are interested in signing Gnabry. As things stand, Gnabry doesn’t want to leave Munich and a move to Newcastle United is unlikely to materialize.

Gnabry endured a torrid last season due to injuries. He spent a big chunk of the season on the sidelines due to different injuries. The German winger was somewhat getting back to his best in April, but another injury brought an abrupt end to his season.

Since Gnabry is one of the big earners in the squad, Bayern want to part ways with him. Moreover, this is the ideal time for them to get an adequate fee for the former Arsenal winger. In terms of performance, Gnabry has failed to achieve consistency ever since signing the new deal in 2022.

Gnabry is determined to get back to his best in Munich and contribute to the team’s success next season. He is not actively negotiating a move away from Bayern. The German international has recovered from the hamstring injury and looks set to be part of the squad for the pre-season tour.

Despite Gnabry’s stance to fight for a place at Bayern, things may change drastically later in the summer transfer window. Die Roten are currently in negotiations to sign Désiré Doué and Xavi Simons. After the signing of Michael Olise, Bayern are potentially looking to add two more forwards.

If Rekordmeister manage to get all their attacking targets, Gnabry will struggle to get adequate playing time in Munich next season. With a place in the German national team on the line, Gnabry may have to consider his options later in the summer transfer window.
