Max Eberl was coy when asked about Alphonso Davies' future as he continues to be linked with a move to Real Madrid.

The future of Alphonso Davies is one of the big talking points at Bayern Munich as we inch closer to the summer transfer window. Talks over a new contract for the left-back have seemingly reached a standstill, and Real Madrid are expected to intensify their efforts to sign him this summer.

Max Eberl was asked to comment about Davies' future following Bayern Munich's defeat to Heidenheim on Saturday. And the Bayern board member for sport refused to get drawn into discussions about the matter. "I know when I speak, something will be made out of it. I don‘t want that," Eberl said (via Victor Catalina)

Davies' future has been the subject of plenty of speculation in recent months. The 23 year old's agent Nick Huoseh said recently that Bayern's approach of giving the player an ultimatum to sign a contract extension was not fair.

With Davies' current contract set to expire at the end of next season, those in charge at Bayern Munich will likely look to sell him this summer if an agreement over an extension cannot be reached. Theo Hernández and Ian Maatsen are two left-backs Bayern could look to target in the summer if Davies does decide to leave.

Bayern Munich signed Alphonso Davies from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019. The Canadian international has made a total of 186 appearances for the club, and has nine goals and 29 assists to his name.
