Leroy Sané comments on Bayern Munich future ahead of Vincent Kompany reunion

Leroy Sané has hinted that a contract extension with Bayern Munich could be in the offing, with his current deal set to expire at the end of next season.
Resolving the future of Leroy Sané is one of the key personnel decisions awaiting the Bayern Munich bosses this summer. The winger’s current deal only has 12 more months left to run, and those in charge will hope for either an extension or a sale this summer.
Bayern Munich will likely have to wait until after the end of the European Championship for Sané’s future to be fully resolved. But the 28 year old has hinted that talks over a contract extension between the two parties are going well. "So far, yes," Sané told Sky Sport when asked if contract talks were going well. "We haven't spoken in that much detail yet. For now, my focus is on the Euros. We'll resume talks after the tournament."
If, as expected, Sané does stay at Bayern Munich, he will be reunited with former Manchester City teammate Vincent Kompany. The two have a strong relationship, which could further boost Bayern’s chances of keeping Sané at the club. He recently backed the 38 year old to succeed at Bayern.
After a blistering first half of the recently concluded season, Sané struggled to recapture his form following the turn of the year. The Germany international will hope to star for Julian Nagelsmann’s side during the upcoming European Championship, before returning to Bayern and leading the team’s charge for the Bundesliga title next season.
