Kingsley Coman has only one concrete option to leave Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich need to make space in the attack for the signing of Désiré Doué from Rennes. They have already strengthened their attack by signing Michael Olise from Crystal Palace. Bryan Zaragoza has left Bayern on loan, but there is still room for one more departure from Die Roten’s attacking department.
Kingsley Coman is the most likely Bayern forward to leave Munich before the end of the transfer window. The French forward is open to leaving Die Roten, but there have been no concrete offers for him.
According to Sky Sports in Germany, Paris Saint-Germain are the only club to have concrete interest in Coman. Despite the interest from PSG, negotiations are yet to take place with Bayern. The Bavarian club is open to allowing him to leave on loan after failing to get permanent offers.
Sky Sports also insisted that Manchester City do not have interest in signing Coman. FC Barcelona have been linked with the French international, but the Spanish club is hoping to sign Nico Williams from Athletic Bilbao. Bayern will be stuck with Coman if PSG don’t make an offer in the next three weeks.
Bayern desperate to trim the wage bill by loaning out Coman
The record Bundesliga champions want to trim the wage bill, which makes sense since they want to sign new players. Coman is one of the big earners in the squad. Since the market is not heating up for Coman, Bayern will be content with getting Coman off the wage bill for at least one season.
Die Roten’s best-case scenario for Coman is a loan with an obligation to buy. The quality of the French winger is not in doubt, but his injury history has kept clubs away from making concrete bids for him. There was reported interest from Fenerbahce in Coman, but the French winger has rejected a move to Turkey.
Coman will consider leaving Bayern only for a top club. The Bavarian club will hope English clubs show interest in the French winger during the final three weeks of the transfer window. Die Roten will have to make sure Coman doesn’t suffer an injury setback in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Bayern are hoping to get a decision from Désiré Doué next week since the Olympics are over. The Bavarian club made a second bid for Doué a few days ago. PSG are competing with Die Roten for the young winger from Rennes. If Bayern wins the race for Doué, PSG may come calling for Coman.
