The last few weeks have been eventful for Bayern Munich. They have completed deals for Hiroki Ito and Michael Olise, while Joao Palhinha has undergone medical to complete a transfer from Fulham. Bayern are also working on deals for Xavi Simons and Jonathan Tah.

Regarding departures, Matthijs de Ligt is getting closer to Manchester United. The Dutch defender’s future will be resolved after the Euros. Apart from De Ligt, Kim Min-jae has been subject to interest from clubs this summer.

According to TZ, Kim Min-jae has been subject to inquiries from Spain, Italy, England, and Saudi Arabia this summer. The South Korean defender is not weighing up options to leave Die Roten. He is determined to play regularly for Bayern next season. Atletico Madrid, Juventus, and Manchester United are the big clubs showing interest in Kim Min-jae.

Inter Milan and Napoli have also been linked with a move for Kim Min-jae in the last few months. As things stand, Bayern are counting on the South Korean defender to be part of the squad for next season.

Bayern signed Kim Min-jae last summer to replace Lucas Hernandez. The 27-year-old defender enjoyed a terrific start to life in Munich. He was part of Tuchel’s first-choice center-back partnership during Hinrunde. The South Korean defender started every league game during the first half of the season.

Things started going downhill for Kim Min-jae after the winter break. After playing for South Korea in the Asian Cup, Min-jae struggled for form when he returned to Munich. He was soon out of the starting XI at the expense of Matthijs de Ligt and Eric Dier.

The South Korean defender was unsatisfied with his situation but remained determined to get back in the starting XI. He struggled for game time during the Ruckrunde. He returned to the starting XI for the clash against Real Madrid at Allianz Arena. The former Napoli center-back ended up playing a big role in both goals scored by the visitors.

Bayern are not ready to give up on Kim Min-jae this summer. He is part of Die Roten’s plans under Vincent Kompany. Unless Die Roten receive a mammoth offer for the South Korean defender, he is likely to play in Bavarian colours next season. Bayern are hoping to balance the books in defense by selling De Ligt and Dayot Upamecano.
