Jamal Musiala is hoping that Alphonso Davies decides to stay at Bayern Munich amid interest from Real Madrid in his signature.
Bayern Munich are facing a critical summer transfer window, with the left-back spot one of the biggest question marks. Alphonso Davies will likely determine the club's plans for the position, with the Canadian international still mulling over his future.
Davies has a contract offer on the table from Bayern Munich, while Real Madrid are said to be interested in signing him. With just 12 months left on his current contract, the 23 year old will likely be sold this summer if he rejects the contract offer from Bayern.
Jamal Musiala has now commented on the future of Davies, and hopes that his good friend turns down the advances of Real Madrid in favor of staying at Bayern. "Yes! He's a good friend of mine. It's always good to keep your friends around. But I haven’t spoken to him for a few days and we never talk about contracts," Musiala told Sky Sport when asked if he would be happy to see Davies stay at Bayern.
While he endured a difficult second half of the recently concluded season, Alphonso Davies is still regarded as one of the top left-backs in the world. And Bayern will certainly hope that he stays on at the club beyond the summer transfer window.
Bayern Munich could make a move for Theo Hernández of AC Milan if Davies does look to leave the club. Chelsea's Ian Maatsen is another player who has been linked with the Bavarians in recent weeks following his impressive loan spell with Borussia Dortmund.
