Bayern Munich are enjoying a superb start to the season, winning six games across all competitions. They have been a treat to watch, dominating the opposition and scoring loads of goals. Vincent Kompany couldn’t have asked for a better start to life as the head coach of Bayern.

The Bavarian club sits at the top of the Bundesliga points table after winning the first four league games. They have a lead of three points over the defending Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen. Bayern are also averaging four goals per game in the league.

Meanwhile, the start to the Champions League was spectacular for Bayern. They pummelled nine goals past Dinamo Zagreb at Allianz Arena on matchday one of the European competition. Die Roten also booked a place in the second round of the DFB Pokal by clinching a 4-0 win against SSV Ulm in August.

Along with getting wins, Bayern have made sure performances are impressive, giving the opposition no respite across the pitch. While talking to Bild, Harry Kane reveals the key reason behind Die Roten’s sensational start to the season.

"The boss wants us to play with high intensity, even when we are leading 1-0 or 2-0, he wants three, four and five goals. That is our philosophy. We want to push the opponents to limits that they cannot maintain It's impressive, we're growing more with every game."

Harry Kane is also benefiting from Kompany's style of football. The English striker has already scored ten goals in six games for Bayern this season. He was on the scoresheet against Werder Bremen on Saturday. Die Roten are looking to win the ball higher up the pitch, which in turn leads to big chances for Kane.

The English striker also has several options in the attack to create chances since the team squeezes the pitch by pressing higher up the pitch. It remains to be seen if Die Roten will maintain strong intensity on and off the ball throughout the season.

Kane looks destined to score 40+ goals this season after a terrific start to the season. The English striker is holding his end of the bargain over the 18 months at Die Roten. He will hope that the team remains consistent over the season to win major trophies.

While the early season form from Bayern is impressive, Kompany will be judged by where the team finishes at the end of the campaign. The Bavarian club needs to win silverware this season. The quest for trophies will be fulfilled with the way the team performs in big games and remains consistent over 12 months. The first big test for Kompany and Bayern will be against defending champions Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday.
