Bayern Munich had an excellent weekend, picking up three points in the Bundesliga and putting in a fine attacking display. They beat Darmstadt by a scoreline of 5-2, with Jamal Musiala the standout performer, scoring twice and providing one assist.

Currently, Musiala is one of the most in-form players in Europe. In his last five Bundesliga games, Musiala has returned an impressive four goals and four assists. Eight goal returns in five games is not bad going, particularly for a midfielder. However, much to Bayern Munich's dismay, this has resulted in him being shortlisted by Premier League sides.

According to a report by Football Insider, Liverpool are "very keen" to sign Jamal Musiala from Bayern Munich this summer. It is believed the Germany international is also wanted by Manchester City, with Bayern setting a high asking price of £100m since they have no intention of selling him otherwise.

Jamal Musiala is one of the best players in the world and to think he is still just 21 years old is frightening. Truth be told, Musiala has been playing at the highest level for the last four seasons but it's fair to say he is only getting better. For context, Musiala has almost matched his Bundesliga goal-scoring record (12), this season (10) despite making less appearances.

Jurgen Klopp is a legend of the Bundesliga, having led Borussia Dortmund to their most successful period. Since Klopp is leaving his current spot of Liverpool manager at the end of this season, it should come as no surprise to Bayern Munich fans that he would like to hinder them in his parting gift.

Klopp knows young German talent when he sees it, so if anything, Bayern Munich should take it as a compliment that the former BVB boss is insistent to sign their young sensation.
