Crystal Palace will be entitled to a percentage of the transfer fee for Michael Olise if Bayern Munich decide to sell the winger in the coming years.
Michael Olise is on the verge of sealing his big-money move to Bayern Munich, and is set to undergo medical tests this weekend before putting pen to paper on a five year contract with the club. FC Bayern will pay a transfer fee of around 55 million euros plus five million euros in bonuses for the signing of the 22 year old.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Crystal Palace have also managed to include a sell-on clause in the deal. This would entitle the English Premier League club to around 10-15% of the transfer fee if Bayern Munich were to sell him in the future. Full agreement has now been reached between the two clubs, and the official announcement of the transfer is set to follow.
Bayern Munich managed to fend off competition from a number of big clubs to sign Olise. The likes of Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United were all interested in signing the France U-21s international, but he decided to make the switch to the Bundesliga instead.
Michael Olise scored 16 goals and assisted a further 25 in 90 appearances for Crystal Palace. Despite spending signifcant time on the sidelines with injuries last season, the forward showcased his quality and ended the campaign with ten goals and six assists in just 19 games. He will now hope to make a similar impact at Bayern Munich, where he will get to link up with some of the most talented forwards in the world.
Do you think that Michael Olise will be a success at Bayern Munich?
