What are expectations from Bayern in the Bundesliga?

Despite finishing third last season, the expectation at Bayern Munich is to win the title this season. They have an inexperienced manager in the dugout but remain favourites to finish at the top of the points table due to the quality of the squad.

The Bavarian faithful will hope Bayern play an attractive style of football while accumulating enough points to lift the title. Die Roten often looked devoid of ideas last season when teams were sitting deep, giving them no space and time in the final third.

Bayern fans will also hope to see their team showing fight and resilience on the pitch. When the going got tough in a few league games last season, Die Roten capitulated and suffered heavy defeats. No team can play beautiful football every weekend, but a champion team can certainly have the bite and steel to endure tough games and find a way to get the win. Bayern fans would like to see these qualities instilled in the team under Vincent Kompany.

Going by the latest bit of Burnley’s documentary from last season, Kompany is certainly the coach who will take no prisoners when it comes to standards on the pitch. The Bavarian faithful will hope to see skill and resilience married in the team, which will eventually see them bring the Bundesliga title to Allianz Arena.
