Eintracht Frankfurt Team News

Dino Toppmöller returns to the Allianz Arena for the first time as head coach this weekend. The former assistant to Julian Nagelsmann has guided Eintracht Frankfurt to sixth place in his debut season as head coach. The Eagles are sitting just five points clear of SC Freiburg, and will be looking to add some cushion heading into the final stretch of the Bundesliga season.

Kevin Trapp has been a regular in the Eintracht goal since his arrival from PSG, and he will start again on Saturday. Tuta should return to the starting XI at right-back after his suspension, with Philipp Max starting on the opposite flank. I expect Robin Koch and the highly rated Willian Pacho to get the start centrally.

Toppmöller has switched between a flat four and a boxed shape in the middle of the park. I'm going to guess he decides to go with the boxed midfield which will give him two outlets up top for counter-attacks. Ellyes Skhiri will start as one defensive midfielder, with Mario Götze and Hugo Larsson likely to partner him.

Farès Chaïbi could miss out through illness, while Hugo Ekitike and Omar Marmoush will likely start in attack for the Eagles.

Expected Eintracht Frankfurt Starting XI: Trapp - Tuta, Koch, Pacho, Max - Skhiri, Götze, Larsson - Knauff, Marmoush - Ekitiké

Score Prediction: Bayern Munich 2-1 Eintracht Frankfurt (Kane; Tel)

Bayern Munich have made a habit of letting clean sheets slip away so I certainly see a Frankfurt goal at some point. With this serving as the all-important dress rehearsal for the Real Madrid tie, I would imagine Bayern Munich will be determined to get the three points, and they should be able to do so at home against an Eintracht side that has struggled for consistency this season.
