Will Bayern use a conservative approach to neutralise Arsenal?

The onus will be on Bayern to dominate the game when Arsenal visit Allianz Arena. They have struggled this season whenever they have pushed high and tried to dominate big teams. Bayern have not defended well against counter-attacking teams.

Thomas Tuchel used a conservative approach when VfB Stuttgart visited Allianz Arena a few months ago. They allowed Stuttgart to have possession but still retained control of the game. It wouldn’t be the worst idea to use a similar approach against Arsenal on Wednesday.

The North London side consistently grinds teams out by having the lion’s share of possession. Bayern have ideal personnel in the attack to challenge them on the break. Harry Kane can drop deep and find the wide players making runs off him. It will be fascinating to see which setup Bayern end up using in a game that will make or break their season.
