Three reasons for Bayern Munich to stick with Thomas Tuchel

After missing out on Xabi Alonso and Julian Nagelsmann, sticking with Thomas Tuchel might be the best solution for Bayern Munich.

Tuchel is still one of the best coaches in the world

Thomas Tuchel has enjoyed significant success in the past five seasons. He helped Paris Saint-Germain to reach a Champions League final in 2020. The German coach also won Ligue 1 titles with the French club. After his stint in Paris, Tuchel enjoyed Champions League glory with Chelsea. The Blues went toe to toe with Liverpool and Manchester City in several games during Tuchel’s time in London.

Despite a difficult 12 months at Bayern, Tuchel remains one of the best coaches in Europe over the last decade. The German may end up winning the Champions League and Bundesliga with Bayern in 12 months. While the Bavarian club’s reasons to part ways with Tuchel in the summer are justified, the lack of a standout contender to replace should force Eberl and Freund to give Tuchel another chance. Keeping Tuchel for one more season will give them ample time to find the ideal head coach to succeed him.
