Bayern Munich takeaways from 3-1 loss to Stuttgart
Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano need to hit the reset button
Although neither Kim Min-jae nor Dayot Upamecano can be singled out for the loss to Stuttgart, it is clear that neither one is going to replace Eric Dier or Matthijs de Ligt (if fit) for the Champions League second leg in Madrid.
With the two back-up centre-backs on the pitch, Bayern conceded two goals late on when a point was there for the taking.
The Bavarian faithful can only hope that Dier and De Ligt are fit enough to start on Wednesday. If Kim or Upamecano have to be called upon during the second leg of the semifinal, then stress levels will be on the rise as neither one currently seems capable of providing the necessary leadership required at the back for a game of such magnitude.
