Number 10 role

Just as how Harry Kane is a lock-in to lead the attack, Jamal Musiala is certain to facilitate and supplement the attack as the number 10, in a free role, just behind the striker.

Musiala had a wonderful Euro 2024 despite Germany losing to eventual winners Spain at the quarter-final stage of the competition. The 21-year-old attacking wizard finished as the tournament’s joint top scorer with three goals along with Bayern teammate Harry Kane and four other players.

To start the new Bundesliga season, Musiala picked up from where he left off at Euro 2024 by scoring Bayern’s first goal of the campaign in the 3-2 win at Wolfsburg. More of the same can be expected from him going forward.

When Musiala is unavailable, the aforementioned Müller or Tel can also function behind or alongside Harry Kane in attack. While Michael Olise is also capable of playing in the number ten role, as we saw at the Olympics.
